Fin

The book has gone! I emailed it off today. And now ... we wait. (Said in Hollywood blockbuster voice). I'm actually pretty happy with the book now that it has undergone its gastric bypass and plastic surgery (it slimmed down a lot - from 100,000 words to 75,000), and I have all my fingers and toes crossed hoping that it will come to something. Wish me luck!

I was in cosy mode today, as I finished the final changes. This sweater is the most deliciously soft thing I own - it's from the 1970s, and still had its tags on when I bought it. I suppose a vintage purist might not have cut them off, but they would be very uncomfortable.

In other and completely irrelevant news, I'm so looking forward to cutting my hair off next week. It's driving me crazy.

I cut all my hair off LAST week - do it! It's so liberating. I couldn't stand having 7 bad hair days every week ... now it takes me 10 minutes in the morning, and it's SO GOOD!!

Congratulations on finishing the book, it is a fantastic achievement. Can't wait to hear how things go.

All the best for the book will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you ;)

My mum had the exact same top, purchased from Cyprus in mid-to-late 1976. She had this top in mulberry and cream. Wow, you have certainly brought back such wonderful memories of her wearing it. I remember she used to wear the mulberry one with a black A-line pin-striped skirt and black boots and the cream one with a brown felt knee-length skirt and the most beautiful caramel, wood stacked, stiletto-heeled sandles.

Oh thank you dear Andrea for the walk down memory lane!
xxoo
PS I forgot to congratulate you on your book. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I hope all you anticipate for this book comes true.

Yay, that's absolutely brilliant about the book - wishing you masses of luck with it! I sent off a short play today, but as it's only eight pages /2,085 words long, it's not QUITE such a big deal.

I also have to get a new haircut soon, mine has become too long. How do you want to cut your hair?

Outfit is looking great but that's always a given.
Oh and gosh vintage is my favourite and I wouldn't have cut the tags off. Haha, I would've dealt with it.

Thanks so much, everybody! I'm really excited. And nervous. I really appreciate your support through this whole process, it means a lot. As do your good wishes.

As for the hair, I'm having it done on Tuesday ... it may well be a huge disaster, we'll have to see! :)
