Cat portraits

It's my friend Sandhya's birthday next week, and I decided to represent her two cats in portrait form. I used watercolour pencil (although I didn't wash it) and patterned paper for the wallpaper behind them, and framed them with mats and frames I found in thrift stores.

If only we could actually get them to wear clothes without hating the experience (and us)! Mink would look great in a tuxedo, I think. He approved of the portraits - perhaps he will commission one of his own.

I loved these. My cat, however, informed me that if I ever get any idea to attempt something similar...

Beautiful artwork. I love the irony of making a cat who wears leopard skin, because you know if they could, they would.
