Getting there

We've unpacked almost every box, now, and things are slowly settling back into a routine. For me, a place only feels like home when the cats are there, the books are up on the shelves and the artwork is on the walls. Two out of three so far! Mink used to hide under the bedclothes for days at a time when we moved house, but I think Mo has been a good influence on him. Both cats have settled in quickly. And they’re enjoying the view from these suburban windows much more than the view from the apartment – they have already seen squirrels and deer for the first time. I set up my desk last night, and I have a proper workspace for the first time in ages – I’ve been working at the dining room table or on the couch for years. It’s pretty exciting.

In other news, my friend Theresa released her summer collection for Tess this week – take a look! It’s really lovely.
